This Singapore Design Week, explore Holland Village in a new way, through the District Design Dialogue. 10 black-and-white terraces houses at Chip Bee Gardens have been transformed into creative spaces showcasing installations, workshops, exhibitions, F&B and retail concepts. Here's what you can expect:
In the first house we visited — Say Hi To_ House — we saw unique furniture designs and home accessories by local artists and designers.
Then, we headed over to House of Eyeyah!
Vibrant, colourful artworks fill the walls in the house, themed around education for kids and focusing on the harmful effects the internet brings.
Spot the "jail" mobile phone installation here.
Upstairs, a showcase of works by over 30 artists add a fun and quirky vibe to the space.
We spotted a "garden" full of blooms on the second floor at The Kitchen, where Haagen-Dazs is offering its latest ice-cream flavours. Drop by to have a taste!
Next, we went to The Stage, and were treated to an aural experience with this "fine dining" setting where music is served up by courses.
It's an interesting concept that truly pushes boundaries!
Love shopping? The Runway will pique your interest with pop-up concepts by homegrown fashion labels.
From clothing to fashion accessories like bags, you'll find some unique handcrafted pieces here.
