Katamama is the first hotel by PTT Family, the group behind Potato Head Beach Club. It was designed by Indonesian architect Andra Matin.
Located in Bali, Katamama is home to 100 art pieces by contemporary artists in the region, as well as bespoke furniture crafted by a Surabaya-based carpenter.
The Katamama Suite features a platform bed, and sports a blue, brown, and green colour scheme.
A blue rug demarcates the Katamama Suite’s dining area from the rest of the room. It faces a linear kitchen counter.
The Rooftop Suite features a mid-century modern style sofa. Only Indonesian Grade-A teak, sourced from certified forests, was used for the furniture.
Wood and greenery is always a welcomed combination.
In the Pool Suites, we spotted ikat prints, as well as a well-designed bed frame-cum-study.
The new bespoke pieces are paired with iconic vintage furniture from PTT Family’s private collection, which includes the PH5 pendant lamps by Louis Poulsen.
The textured walls give character to the room.
