This 2,700sqf apartment in Moscow's Golden Keys residential enclave, an area originally built in the late 90s, was given a trendy update by Oleg Klodt Architecture & Design.
The homeowner wanted a neoclassical style for the interiors, but for it to look fashionable, too. Making the most of the original features of the apartment and going with an elegant neutral colour palette enhanced with splashes of attractive colour through the furnishings, the designer created the perfect balance of timeless and trendy in every room.
In the living area, backdropped by wall panelling in a shade of cream and honey-hued herringbone flooring, clashes of bright colour and pattern, as well as contemporary shapes give the space a trendy update.
Unique, eclectic pieces sourced from around the world, and bespoke pieces fill the interiors.
Multi-coloured concrete tiles adorning the long corridor are a whimsical and playful touch. A chair upholstered in a lustrous fabric and gold-tone furniture and accessories add further interest.
A kitchen island in an eye-catching blue granite and a specially-rusted extractor hood above it make for impressive features in the cook space.
The bedrooms also feature colour schemes with marked contrast, a mix of modern and clasiscal, as well as statement decor.
The children's bathroom, with a freestanding bathtub from Bette and a vanity from Restoration Hardware, has a look that is both sophisticated and fun.
The master bathroom, on the other hand, excudes cool with a bespoke vanity unit and dramatic industrial-inspired light fixture by Ontwerpduo.
