Singapore designer Olivia Lee's Athena, a collection of 10 furniture and decor pieces, was designed to address the quirky digital habits of a modern homeowner.

For example, the vanity table has a design optimised for taking selfies, and the rug's texture helps you avoid bumping into walls while virtual-reality gaming. The pieces themselves do not incorporate technology, but instead are meant to solve some of the "problems" created by the presence of new technologies and lifestyle habits at home — her take on smart home design.

It was one of the highly acclaimed designs at the SaloneSatellite in Milan, an exhibition platform part of the Salone del Mobile Milano (or Milan Furniture Fair) in Italy known for kick-starting the careers of many young designers.

Olivia is now based in Singapore, after several years in London where she studied product design at Central Saint Martins.
