This 4,520 sq ft (419 sqm) semi-detached house, designed by Atelier Here, is home to nine family members across three generations.
Spacious and stylish, its main design feature is a hollow block wall that spans the length of the common areas of the house.
Contemporary Interior Style
The interiors of this semi-detached house in Singapore have a contemporary aesthetic, with linear and angular elements.
Hollow Block Wall
The hollow block wall, on one side of the house, is both a design feature and practical privacy screen.
With a thickness of 10cm and a perforated appearance, it limits views in and deflects harsh light.
Allowing just enough natural lighting to filter through, as well as encouraging natural cross-ventilation, it creates an airy, ethereal feel in the double-volume living area.
Second Floor
The family room on the second floor overlooks the living room on the ground floor, maintaining an open layout and spatial continuity within the common areas.

Open Concept Kitchen
Adjacent to the living room is the open-concept dining room and dry kitchen.
The staircase, in the background, leads to the family room and private areas.
Family Room
The family room is where the large family often spends time together in, outside the privacy of their bedrooms.
Thanks to the hollow block wall, the area is screened off from the neighbours next door.
The space features a beautifully simple focal point — a timber lattice wall panel that extends up to the third floor.
Master Bedroom
Up one floor, a bridge connects the back of the house (where the elevator and some of the bedrooms are) to the master bedroom that is located at the front.
High up, views of the surrounding greenery can be enjoyed from the master bedroom.
