A $4,000 Bluetooth speaker? Here's what you need to know about the Devialet Gold Phantom

+

The debate between analogue and digital amplification comes to an end with Devialet, a wireless speaker that projects ultra-dense acoustics using Analog Digital Hybrid technology, which magnifies sound without distortion or background noise. The new Gold Phantom surpasses this achievement by being eight times more powerful than the original Phantom and promising that you’ll hear music that’s as close to the artist’s intention as possible.

Here's what you should know about it:

- This made-in-France sound system sports a stunning two-carat rose gold-plated finish and a Grade 1 titanium tweeter.

- Phantom can be used on its own or connected to other Phantoms, creating a multi-room system in the house. Or, if you can only afford one -- the spherical silhouette enables a uniform, omnidirectional emission of sound, so you can listen to music from any angle.

- The Gold Phantom features 4,500 watts of power, 108 decibels of physical impact and a deep bass at 14Hz.

- Devialet was named after the inspirational Sieur de Vialet, an engineer and author of several articles published in the French encyclopaedia.
