Here's a bedside table that not only acts as a shelf, it also bookmarks your magazines - the pitched roof of the structure flags your last-read page - and prevents dust getting into your drink. Using plywood, we built a "house" wide enough to hold a night light and a stash of our favourite tomes, painting it in two different colours for contrast.
