5 Ways To Maximise Wardrobe Space

+

Wardrobes are one of the most difficult and tiresome items to organise in the home. However, if done well, you can actually fit more things in your wardrobe than you imagine! These smart storage idea will give you a headstart:

1. ATTACH HOOKS BEHIND WARDROBE DOORS
Hang belts, scarves and other items of substantial length behind your wardrobe doors so they won't take up space in drawers. The doors are under utilised anyway! And this help belts retain their shape, too!

2. COMPARMENTALISE EVERYTHING
If you have a section of the wardrobe where you fold your clothing, keep the stacks neat by using a partition case. It forces you to keep everything in its place. Organise them by colour or type of clothing for easy access.

Also, extend the life of your jewellery and find them easily by installing cubby holes in your drawers.

3. DON'T LET YOUR BAGS PILE UP
Ladies, it's worth your time and money to invest in a proper storage system for your bags. You'll want them to keep their shape so don't pile them up on your chair, devote a section of your wardrobe for them.

4. STOW IT AWAY
Keep bulky winter wear and bedlinen in storage boxes. Put them in higher shelves or under the bed so they don't take up space in your wardrobe.

5. LABEL EVERYTHING
More than compartmentalising and keeping everything in its place, don't forget to label. It's a good visual reminder of where each item should belong.
