Bohemian rhapsody

You won’t find a single inch of space that isn’t coloured or embellished in this East Coast apartment. Eschewing conventional tried-and-tested designs, homeowner Ade Koh relied on her creative instincts instead. “I love colour, especially Indian colours. I adore rich velvets and fabrics, too. Plus, I don’t want what other people have – I want what they don’t have,” says the former bridal-gown designer.

Ade enlisted the help of designer Alex Kwan of Museum to create her flamboyantly eclectic weekend home, which took two years to complete because of its intricate detailing and custom-execution, including special hand-painted murals and a hydraulics-lifted table.
