Interior designer Gerald Tang from Pure Concept was tasked to renovate this five-room HDB flat for the most demanding of clients: his wife and three kids. While he wanted “simple, classy, modern and everlasting”, he also had to make sure the result was low maintenance, functional and child-friendly.

Gerald reconfigured the rooms to get rid of awkward corners and introduce more natural light into the common spaces. For the living and dining room, he used a monochromatic palette of greys, black and white and accented it with colourful accessories.
