Homeowner Thomas Lim swopped his Sentosa Cove apartment for a three-storey terrace house in the Bukit Timah area, and he has no regrets. “I had guests over to stay at the apartment, and it was a real squeeze with seven of us and two dogs,” he recounts with mock horror.

His new house, in contrast, has a built-up area of 3,750sqf, about one-and-a-half times the size of his former apartment. Thomas, who is the owner of floral boutique At Home & Garden, even had space to create a presentation room for his clients, who engage him for interior decor and decoration services. It’s easy to describe his new space as an elegant setting for entertaining both personal and business guests.
