Loft of Love

Hoping to recreate the look and feel of the New York loft he used to live in, bachelor Mark Wong opted for a light and bright industrial-loft look for his HDB maisonette. He also chose the two-storey apartment as it was more spacious than a condominium and the staircase made it look like a townhouse. Designer Dess Chew of Three-D Conceptwerke was roped in to revamp the spaces.

The layout was tweaked to allow more fluid spaces for entertaining, and upstairs, the spaces were also realigned to suit the bachelor’s needs. Interesting materials used throughout created an organic textural mix that complements the concrete and white background of the home perfectly.
