Schoolteacher Lucas Teo has very fond memories of growing up in his grandmother’s home on Victoria Street. “I would have liked to continue living there, but the shophouses were torn down,” he says. So, he decided to recreate the look and feel of his childhood home in the flat he now shares with wife Siew Hwa.

An avid collector of vintage things – he has glassware, fabrics and home accessories from the 1960s and 1970s – Lucas engaged interior designer Diana Yeo of Design Channel to help him take his four-room flat back in time.
