When Gerry Loke and Sandra Chu bought their two-storey, 30-year-old apartment in 2008, it was at the height of the property boom. Having spent much on buying their home, they turned to Gwen Tan of Formwerkz to transform the dark and tired unit within their means.

Gwen’s budget-friendly design included a window bench with a pocket garden, luxe-looking wood veneer finishes, and a clever combination of the young family’s old furniture with customised pieces.
