The right mix

Stepping into designer Wendy Smith’s pre-war home is like being transported to another country. That’s because she transformed the old shophouse into a Tuscan-inspired villa, decorated with a mix of European antiques, Oriental accents and contemporary art.
“If I had to label it, I would call it my Tuscan-Asian city residence,” the British designer smiles. When she began furnishing her home, Wendy was inspired by Italian residences, but over the years, a love for Asian elements developed and crept into the mix.
