Chinese names will be on Italian company Alessi's roster of design partners next year, when the latter puts eight tray containers designed by as many Chinese architects into production. The trays were created in a collaboration with the Beijing Industrial Design Centre called (Un)Forbidden City and curated by Hong Kong-based architect Gary Chang (also one of the eight designers). They were unveiled at Beijing Design Week 2011.
