Richly-veined stone, grainy wood and dense patterns are just some of the textures that will appear more in the surfaces of tables, countertops, and even walls. To keep it looking too elaborate, avoid combining too many different textured pieces, but consider a repetition of key textures throughout the house to create a sense of aesthetic unity.
"Textured surfaces have a luxurious, not to mention unique, look, too. Pieces with textured surfaces as furnishings offer a richness to the aesthetics of a space, warming its overall look", says Eileen Tan, marketing manager of Space Furniture.
