This apartment in Taiwan has a white, wood and pastel colour palette, lending it its bright, cheerful vibe.
At the entrance foyer, the homeowners and designers — Ethan and Curly of Hozo Interior Design — decided on geometric patterned hexagonal tiles to set the space apart from the living area. It not only offers clear segregation of space, but also brings a sense of tactility underfoot.
A mostly-white, full-height cabinet sits on the right and is complemented with a wood-toned niche that breaks the linearity of the design. It also adds convenience to the homeowners as this nook allows them to keep their keys after entering the apartment.
The spacious living room has a seamless TV feature wall comprising white panels that cleverly hide wirings from the TV and sound systems. Complementing their grey fabric sofa are two cushy bean bag seats, and an elephant-shaped stool.
Along with baywindow seats where Ethan and Curly had incorporated storage spaces in, they also designed more storage cum display area at the dining area. This way, the home remain clutter-free, while having just enough slots to showcase the homeowners' knick knacks.
For the dining area, the designers and homeowners chose a bench paired with dining chairs in light pink and black.
Next to the open-concept kitchen, there's also a bar table and stools to offer additional seats when the homeowners entertain guests.
The backsplash design was chosen with the overall colour palette in mind, to give it a unique yet holistic look.
For the bedroom, a geometric patterned blue wall creates a statement-making feature.
Fixtures such as a stool, wooden ladder and some plants decorate the room, while still keeping it looking spacious and bright.
The wardrobe area is complete with a bench, some artwork and decor accessories for a relaxing ambience.
For the kid's room, a grey wallpaper filled with letters in the alphabet lends a subtle design feature. A bear-shaped night light adds to the fun, cosy vibe.
