We checked out Honestbee's latest lifestyle retail store — Habitat by Honestbee — at 34 Boon Leat Terrace, ahead of its official opening tomorrow (18 October), and had quite some fun shopping in the 60,000 sqf space, which has a fresh retail experience.
With the world's first cashless, automated checkout experience and robotic collection point (RoboCollect), shopping is made more convenient.
We walk you through what you can expect here. (Click here for video)
A colourful mix of flowers and plants greet you as you enter the store — shop for fresh flowers for all occassions at Hanaya.
A full range supermarket and speciality grocer, there are over 20,000 products of Asia and global groceries. You'll be spoilt for choice — just look at the variety and types of rice you can find!
Get seasonal fruits and vegetables, seafood, meats, cheeses and daily essentials.
There's even a premium range of meats, such as wagyu beef.
Whether you're preparing Japanese fare, Italian cuisine or oriental dishes, you'll find all the spices, condiments and herbs you'll need too.
Get fresh lobsters and crabs, or even freshly shucked oysters.
You're in for a treat (for your palette and eyes!) when you step into the wines and spirits section. Get your alcohol fix here, with a host of options from all around the world.
You might want to snap an Insta-worthy shot while shopping too!
There's even a carefully curated range of beauty products and fragrances, from the likes of local brand Oo La Lab.
An exciting part of the shopping experience is the check out system. All you have to do is push your trolley to one of these counters, scan your BeePass and the system takes your trolley in, packs your purchases and sends it to the RoboCollect collection point where you can pick it up before you leave the store.
For purchases of 10 items or less, you can even just use the "Scan & Go" function on the honestbee app, skip the checkout line and get your items on the spot.
After checking out your purchases, complete the shopping experience by dining at one of the 15 unique food and beverage concepts.
There are options like fresh grain bowls, grilled meats, Japanese souffle pancakes, homemade kombuchas and even pastas. Take-away options are available too!
Pop by Lazy Loaf for freshly baked bread made with Asian-sourced flours.
Enjoy a range of spreads too, such as in-house special Kaya to satisfy that sweet tooth!
Grab a cuppa at Hinoki and complement it with your favourite pastries.
You can also relax and unwind at Shufu, a cosy nook just perfect for lounging at on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
There are even magazines available for sale.
Before you leave, don't forget to collect your purchases at the collection point near the exit!
Enjoy shopping!
