Watch: Sophisticated open shelving in this Keppel Bay apartment

There are so many ways to do shelving and storage. For example, you can combine a bedframe and open shelving together -- one example by Lekker Design here -- or even use shelving to divide spaces. Interior design firm AO Studios went with the latter when he worked on this three-bedroom Keppel Bay condominium apartment.

See how he did it, and how this benefits the homeowners, in this quick video below.

“Staying in some very nice hotels definitely influenced the look we wanted. For instance, my love for dark wood came about after a stay at the Park Hyatt Shanghai. The $130,000 renovation cost went mostly to the extensive carpentry work to achieve this contemporary look, storage space — we have lots of winter and sportswear — and converting one common room into a dining area. This home is a good marriage of what we like, and what Alvin Oh from AO Studios loves to design,” shares Dan Lee, the homeowner.
