This 582sq ft, two-bedroom apartment in Sengkang may be snug, but with ample built-in storage and a minimalist design, is perfect for its bachelor homeowner.
Homeowner Nicholas Tan, a digital creator (@nichology), had a Scandinavian aesthetic in mind when he approached Jason Lee from Icon Interior Design to renovate his home.
While the young homeowner had set his mind on a neutral palette, he was willing to be a little adventurous with a feature wall using Nippon Paint’s Memento Special Effects paint. The result is a subtle mottled look that catches the light streaming in from the patio.
His sofa is from Comfort Living.
Jason designed a hidden storage feature next to the entrance foyer which conceals Nicholas’ shoe cabinets.
The entire dining area was custom made – from the dining table, to the woodgrain wall and shelf. A durable tabletop from KompacPlus was chosen for its fuss-free maintenance and pretty design for aesthetic flatlay shots. Dining chairs are from HipVan.
The guest bedroom is kept minimal yet functional.
A simple grey-toned design matching the rest of the home was chosen for the bathroom.
To maximise the space in the master bedroom, Jason designed a built-in wardrobe and bed frame. Curtains, including those in the living room, were also custom made by Alto Fabric.
Integrated bedside shelves give the overall bedroom a chic and well put together look. Renovation cost approximately $25,000, excluding furnishings.
