Home to a business owner and his father, this semi-detached house underwent a complete revamp by The Carpenter's Workshop when the homeowners acquired it. The business owner works mainly from home, while his father enjoys cooking and entertaining guests. As a result, a conducive home office, as well as a well-designed kitchen was necessary.
A TV console — which has a special mechanism that allows the TV to be hidden and kept out of view when not in use — doubles as a divider between the living room and the dry kitchen. This allows a visual continuity between spaces.
The initial dining area was under a double volume ceiling and seeing the sense of space that could be capitalised, a reconfiguration was done to create an open dry kitchen coupled with a display cabinet for the homeowner's alcohol collection, setting the perfect stage for the hospitable owners who loves to host.
Glass doors and glass roofs were used for the wet kitchen to allow more light into the space and open up views of the outdoor greenery while cooking.
Part of the modern, luxurious look which the homeowners wanted, the kitchen has a dark, elegant palette.
There's lots of full-height storage cabinets to ensure lots of space to hide away appliances and other kitchenwares.
The homeowner now has his very own dedicated home office in the attic, which opens up to a view of the surrounding.
The master bedroom is also located on the attic level.
As part of the approximately $400,000 renovation, the bathroom now boasts all-black interiors.
