House Tour: The right amount of shine and luxury in this HDB apartment

This HDB flat in Pasir Ris glitters with just the right dose of shine and luxury without going over the top.

Once inside, you are immediately cocooned in cool white tranquility with slight hints of "bling": silver Chinese ceramic stools that serve as side tables, mirrored pendant lights and wall tiles that gleam with a silver-on-white Baroque pattern.

The home is designed by the homeowner - a 32-year-old architect - and Eric Chua from Three-D Conceptwerke, and replicates the luxury hotel look and atmosphere.

The intimate foyer leads to the spacious white living room, which is also cordoned off by curtains.

Heavy white curtains on three walls cocoon the sleeping area when drawn and keep the air-conditioning in. The landscape format of the photograph visually extends the room.

All electrical outlets, switches and lighting in the monochromatic kitchen are hidden to maintain a clean streamlined look.
