This toilet bomb will unclog your toilet - here's how to make it

Chemical air fresheners used to get rid of unpleasant odours in your toilet may be made with chemicals that damage your health and the environment. We recommend using  natural ingredients instead. Cleaning experts Helpling have suggested three ways to do so.

Baking Soda: The Odour Absorber

To reduce the strange smell in your toilet, place a small bowl of baking soda in your bathroom to absorb the smell. Replace the baking soda in the bowl every month to make sure it stays fresh. Additionally, you can create a natural odour repellent by mixing 2 cups of water, a tablespoon of white vinegar and a teaspoon of baking soda with 10 drops of an essential oil. Put the mixture in a spray bottle and spray as often as you like.

Alcohol: Not Just For Consumption

Vodka can also be a useful ingredient to get rid of unwanted bathroom smells. Mix three parts of water with one part of cheap vodka, add in about 10 drops of essential oil and spray where needed. This trick works as a all natural air freshener to soak up bathroom smells.

Toilet Bomb: The Ultimate Toilet Bowl Unclogger

Is your clogged up toilet bowl creating unnecessary stress? Fortunately, this nasty situation can be easily resolved with your homemade toilet bomb.It attacks grease (and other stuff) buildup.Simply, mix half a cup of baking soda, half a cup of cornstarch and lemon juice in a ziploc bag. Once fully mixed (it should start to clump), add in two to three tablespoons of water in the mixture and knead it. Repeat this step until the baking soda mixture feel like a piece of dough.

Add 15 drops of your favourite essential oil in the dough mixture and knead again. Next, Helpling says to store them in ice trays and leave them to dry for a couple of days. Once dry, remove one of the toilet bombs and throw them into your toilet bowl. Let it fizz up for a couple of minutes before you flush.
