The retro-looking Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer has a reputation for being a sturdy and long-lasting kitchen tool, thanks to a powerful motor which can handle more than three kilograms of dough, and a bowl that can withstand heat of up to 104 deg C.

You can transform the mixer into a pasta maker, food grinder, sausage maker, and even a vegetable slicer with Kitchen Aid’s added attachments.

First introduced in 1919, when the Machine Age was in full swing, the mixer went through several design changes; the final one is Model K – the classic silhouette most are familiar with. It was designed by industrial designer Egmont Arens in 1937.

This gleaming, greenish-blue hue is called Sea Glass – just one out of the 26 (and counting!) colours available in the mixer range.

Did you know? Its name is believed to have come from a housewife, who tested out the mixer and exclaimed, “I don’t care what you call it, but I know it’s the best kitchen aid I’ve ever had!”

The Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer is distributed by Mayer Marketing.
