Supermama Porcelain Festival

Lifestyle store Supermama is holding its inaugural porcelain festival, showcasing porcelain as giftware, homeware and objet d'art. The festival will take place at two locations – its flagship store in Beach Road and its gallery shop in Gillman Barracks. Expect some quality ceramic works from Arita, Imari and Ureshino in Japan, as well as whimsical works by designers and artists such as Koh Hong Teng, Phunk Studio and Theseus Chan.
Art After Dark

Art Day Out!
Sept 24, 2pm to 7pm
This depends on you and your posse. If you're a party-lover, you might want to check out Art After Dark for its party vibe, live music, F&B pop-ups and late opening hours for all the galleries. If you have young children, you might prefer Art Day Out! which takes place in the afternoon and promises plenty of art activities for the whole family, including an interactive mural activity with street artist Speak Cryptic.
Singapore International Photography Festival

Block 6 and 9, Lock Road
American photography artist Roger Ballen will be displaying three decades' worth of works at Block 9. Ballen is known for capturing animals and human beings against unusual backdrops, resulting in images that look almost fantastical, such as his work Audience (2011). Also showing as part of the photography festival are winning snapshots of the Tokyo International Photography Competition. Hailing from six countries, the photographs will be displayed at Block 6.
Venice Biennale Singapore Pavilion
From September 2016 to February 2017
Block 9, Lock Road
Before Venice Biennale's Singapore representative Zai Kuning and curator June Yap take Zai's showcase to the prestigious international event in 2017, Zai will open his artist studio located at Block 9 for the public to see the progress he's making with his works. There will be selected guided tours, special workshops and opportunities to meet the artist. This would be the first time in Singapore that the public can get a glimpse of the work before it is presented to the world.
