Built original as a private villa in the 1920’s for a rich industrialist, the casa Laguna hotel and spa is a romantic getaway designed by Martyn Lawrence Bullard.
This small but charming boutique hotel was designed to capture both the architectural style and magic of its ocean side location. Martyn mixed bold, traditionally Moorish tile patterns in over scaled panels with fresh color palettes.
The colour palettes include azure blue and golden saffron.
The guest rooms and cottages are all individually decorated with antiques (for a touch of vintage glamour) and easy living fabrics like linen and cottons — to instill the beachy vibe.
Wanting to create a luxurious vibe, Martyn also added touches of gold and intricate patterns and textures, influenced by the warm and inviting environment of Morocco.
"Moors" refer to the Muslim inhabitants of North Africa, Sicily, and Malta during the Middle Ages. These people were mostly Berber and Arabs from North Africa.
Each room is stocked with bar carts and provided designer bathroom amenities. Visit the hotel website: www.casalaguna.com.
