Go Green for Chinese New Year

While we celebrate family reunions and Chinese customs, stop and think of how we can make our merrymaking just a tad more eco-friendly. A little thought makes a big difference, if everyone gets into the spirit of not just being kind to each other, but to our planet as well.

These are some tips we love and can easily adopt right now!

1. Use decorations that can be reused year after year, such as fabric couplets (above).

2. Use-good-as-new banknotes for your hongbao, instead of newly printed ones.

3. Opt for red-packet designs that do not use the year’s zodiac sign, so that they can be used next year.

4. Keep your old hongbaos and use them to make lanterns for the mooncake festival!
