House Tour: Effective use of neutral, earthy palette in this maisonette unit

This HUDC maisonette unit in Hougang has generous space.

The homeowner roped in Keith Kum from Distinctidentity to create a home that is "simple and liveable", with ample storage.

Keith tore down the storeroom by the main door - resulting in a "bigger, grander entrance and an immediate sense of space," he shares.

Cement-grey homogeneous tiles add an industrial edge to the neutral, earthy palette of the home.

The long, slim custom-made dining table visually elongates the dining area. It’s wrapped in a wood-grain laminate.

The kitchen walls are replaced with sliding glass doors that lead to the living room – the result is a brighter, more interactive cooking space.

The walk-in wardrobe features deep drawers and full-height cabinets big enough to store the ironing board and steamer.
