House Tour: A maisonette that mixes old and new styles

A creative mix of old and new decor pieces, this bright and airy maisonette underwent changes to make the space more child-friendly while satisfying the homeowners’ requirements. As the homeowners designed the space themselves, they were able to try their hands at decorating.

To make the home bright and airy, the first-floor bedroom was knocked down to create a semi-open-plan family space. It also enabled ventilation and sunlight from the rear of the kitchen to reach all the way to the front. Glass blocks conceal the laundry while maintaining a look of openness.
