House Tour: Terrace house with amazing indoor and outdoor spaces

Ben Tan, the director of a house-building firm (Hauslab Design & Build) stays in this two-and-a-half storey corner terrace at Seletar.

There is a 20-metre buffer between his home and the next-door neighbours. As such, Ben incorporated expansive use of glass without worrying about privacy.

Orange and white form the colour palette for the ground floor. The sofa, stainless steel planters and several fur rugs were customised.

The openness extends to the entire ground floor as Ben wanted a seamless flow between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

Ben loves greenery and wanted to be completely surrounded by unmanicured planting, even from above. Planters outside the home theatre on the second storey provide a hanging garden.

The mirrored kitchen cabinets and pillar render the bar counter practically invisble.

Wood trims on the glass front door turn it into an arty creation.
