House Tour: This three-storey terrace has many open and bright spaces

The renovation of this four-decade-old property came after a clear and concise brief, recalls Victor Ting, the creative director of interior design firm The Carpenter’s. “The couple wanted high ceilings for the home – especially double-volume ceilings,” he explained.

Now, the newly refurbished interiors resemble an effortlessly cool loft.

The “floating” stair treads enable more light to come through from the skylight to the ground floor.

The master bedroom’s quiet aesthetics allow its double-height volume to take centre stage.

The dining room is well-lit in the day, thanks to the air well on its right, and the glass kitchen door, which lets light in through the back door. The &tradition pendants were bought online.

These decorative ventilation bricks were installed to increase the airflow into the helper’s room.
