Modern oriental antique-furnished three-room HDB flat

Designed by Geoffrey Law Design, this three-room HDB flat has an open layout. It also takes into consideration Fengshui requirements.

The home has a monochromatic backdrop, allowing interesting furniture and decor to take centre stage.

The antique bed, which functions as a relaxing reading corner in the living room, definitely holds a talking point!

Here the designer contrasts super-modern finishes like black glossy flooring, floor-to-ceiling mirrored walls and clear acrylic furniture with wooden antique furniture and carvings.

An ornamental tree acts as support for the dining table, and is also a fun touch as it can be decorated according to the festive seasons.

A customised planter by the designer adds an element of nature in the bedroom.

With a little creativity, wooden screens become the headboard and a decorative feature in the bright bedroom.

There are no solid walls separating the bedroom from the bathroom, which is finished with light coloured mosaic and laminated glass

You wouldn't think that the rubbish chute is concealed behind this water feature and fish tank!

Even the beams overhead were given thought — mouldings with auspicious motifs were added.
