A self-parking chair- sensational or spooky?

Imagine this scenario - office chairs are strewn all over the place after a meeting in the board room, or at the end of the day in the office. One clap of the hand, and they move back into neat rows - just like magic! Well, it's not magic, but a clever use of intelligent parking technology by carmaker Nissan, in chairs.

Nissan has introduced the world first intelligent parking chair, which uses the same technology the carmaker uses in their cars for automatic parking. The rollers in the base of the chair is paired with a system that indicates the set target position of the seat, and four cameras placed on the room's ceiling generate a bird's-eye view to wirelessly transmit the chair's position and its route to destination. Watch a video of how it works!

It's great for spooking an unsuspecting colleague, that's for sure!
