Take a peek at the jaw-dropping design of Versace's mansion!

Built in 1930 by architect and philanthropist Alden Freeman, this mansion (one of America’s most expensive homes) was the home of celebrity designer Gianni Versace between 1992 and 1997.

Christened Casa Casuarina (previously The Amsterdam Palace), the grandiose estate cost Versace about $33 million, including refurbishments such as an additional gold-lined swimming pool, a space of 6,100sqf, and a Medusa mosaic-tiled courtyard.

It brought an over-the-top splash of old-world glamour to the Miami Beach, where it is located. Fit for royalty, there is no shortage of colossal pillars, velvet textiles, classic paintings, intricate architectural details and Italian motifs.
