We love the industrial/ mid-century-Modern/ Peranakan/ Oriental vibe of this home!

Chesterfield sofa, bare concrete walls, futuristic pendant lights, Peranakan tiles and Chinese lattice screens - how would you combine all these elements in a home without it being some kind of cross-cultural rojak? Interior design firm Free Space Intent pulled it off by setting these themes against white walls, and amidst light and bright interiors; of course a high ceiling wouldn't hurt either! A recurring colour scheme - terracotta bricks, tan leather seating, and honey-tone wood, also helped maintain some consistency in the decor.

Exposed red brick walls frame the living area, commanding your attention even before you enter the home.

From classic to oriental and contemporary, the home adopts a variety of design styles.

A striking Artemide suspension lamp purchased from Million Lighting gives a sleek, modern edge to the dining area.

Each bathroom has both “anodised” and floral motifs wall tiles for variety.

The homeowners' personal art gallery on the third floor displays their favourite paintings. This piece is by local artist Justin Lee.
