WHERE: In the suburb of Manly, Sydney.
WHY WE LOVE IT: We have to admit that using concrete screte for an industrial vibe has been done to death. Donny's manage to execute the look without overdoing this go-to material, so take notes.
This dimly lit bar's only hint of concrete screed is on the floor. However, it still stuck with familiar elements of the industrial theme, such as the exposed brick wall.
The bar itself is made out of reclaimed railway sleepers, and its weathered look pairs well with the polished copper top.
The designers chose mismatched furniture, of different materials and textures, for a "warehouse look". A metal spiral staircase leads bar-goers to a mezzanine level.
The industrial look is utilitarian, and all about function and no frills. Strip things down to its purest form – exposed bulbs, beams, and pipes work well, whether you choose to repaint them or not.
