Your home should be a safe and peaceful haven, with all the stress you have to deal with in daily life!

Here are some simple steps that will instantly inject some zen into your personal space:


1. Cut the clutter 

Try to spend 5 to 10 minutes a day putting things away. Not only is clutter visually unpleasant, it can also disrupt the flow of energy in your home

2. Play with natural or low lighting

Light is often stimulating in nature so it makes sense that the lower the light, the calmer you'll be. Make use of natural light or install a dimmer to fully relax.

3. Unplug in the bedroom

Keep electronics out of sight and tucked away if you're looking to find peace. This is especially important in the bedroom, which represents a space for rest and rejuvenation.

4. Stick to a neutral colour palette

While colours can induce different moods, it's best to stick to earthy tones if you're looking to zen out. White, grey and beige all have the power to promote a sense of calm.

5. Decorate with earth tones

Take inspiration from the Earth and look to natural materials like wood and stone when decorating your home. They will help to bring warmth to your space and create a soothing vibe.

6. Bring the outdoors in

Go back to nature by scattering a few potted plants or succulents around your home. Not only do they foster creativeity and productivity, they can also help to purify the air.

7. Scent your space

Use candles or essential oil diffusers to make your space feel serene and relaxing by infusing it with calming scents like lavender and sage.
