WHAT: The Airbnb office, designed by local architecture firm, FARM.
WHERE: Cecil Road, Singapore
WHY WE LOVE IT: It's representative of what they do best – taking us around the world and exploring the unique characteristics of each city and country! Plus, it's a damn cool office.
The office is designed with informal elements, such as a contemporary-styled kopitiam, shared working spaces, as well as benches and beanbags for breakout meetings.
All three floors are outfitted with a kitchen, including a cafe in the middle floor where employees can gather for a casual coffee.
All office meeting rooms are inspired by actual homes on Airbnb, including an apartment in Batignolles, Andy Warhol-inspired art loft in Bangkok, a caravan in Cornwall, and a villa in Kuta.
Check out the Dragon Rocking Horse in the corner. It was designed by Hinika, and inspired by our local playgrounds.
When planning the design, the staff selected the Airbnb listings they wanted the office to mirror – and was actively involved in re-creating the room to exact likeness! This was part of the Employee Design Experience programme.
