Strange and deranged might not be words one would usually associate with decor, but this uniquely- named local brand is far from what its moniker suggests. Specialising in luxury home decor that includes eclectic handmade and artisanal items for discerning homeowners, Strange & Deranged has opened its flagship store in Paragon.
The brand is no stranger to Singapore’s design scene. Founded in 2013 by Strange Associates partners Alex Tan and Cindy Tang, it was conceptualised as a showroom catering to the needs of interior designers and architects. Today, it has grown into a well-known brand for those seeking luxury decor. Previously located in Palais Renaissance, its new 1,259 sq ft home offers far more variety and invites customers to check out a wide collection of soft furnishings, art, furniture and books.
On our wish list are a couple of renowned Brazilian artist Regina Medeiros’ gold-infused sculptural bowls, handcrafted porcelain dinnerware from L’Objet’s Portuguese porcelain atelier and those glass vases from German brand Guaxs.
Aside from retail, Strange & Deranged remains true to its roots by providing interior styling and design services for homes, showrooms and commecial residences. The team believes in creating a sense of calm, comfort and well-being in the home while emphasising individuality and style.
Strange & Deranged is at #04-47 Paragon. For more information, visit www. strangeanderanged.com.
