Can't sleep? These 5 products will make it easier to catch those zzz's

It's no secret that Singaporeans are one of the most sleep-deprived in the world. A SingHealth poll found that 4 in 10 locals got less than seven hours of sleep on weekdays, and another survey conducted this year by Wakefield Reseach placed us as the second most in need of sleep among 12 countries. Sleep deprivation affects our performance not just the day after, but also has scary long-term health effects such as increased risk of obesity, diabetes and heart disease. It appears that when it comes to sleep, we shouldn't sleep on our problems. Here are 5 products to help you drop into blissful slumber more easily.

1. Bose Noise-masking sleepbuds

Built with specially developed noise-masking technology, Bose's sleepbuds play relaxing, low-level audio that blocks disruptive noises such as snoring and traffic. Designed to be worn for rest, they have a pliable and weightless build.

The Bose Noise-masking sleepbuds retail for $379 at authorised Bose dealers.

2. Philips Hue Go

The Philips Hue Go is a portable light with muliple light effects. To wind down for sleep, set the Hue Go to a relaxing warm white light that mimics the sunset, signalling to your brain that it is time for bed.

The Philips Hue Go retails at authorised Philips dealers.

6. Osim uLove 2 massage chair

It's hard to doze off if a part of your body hurts or your muscles are all tensed up, so why not consider a massage chair to prime you for bed? Osim's latest uLove 2 massage chair is designed to mimic the synchronised movements of two masseurs, with four sets of powerful rollers to massage your upper and lower body. It even comes with an entertainment hub with a three-dimensional Surround Sound system, so you can play soothing tunes for optimum relaxation.

The Osim uLove 2 is priced at $6,699 and comes in blue, brown, green and purple. Find out more at www.osim.com.
