There's been an increasing trend of homeowners designing their own homes and major milestones such as wedding receptions and baby showers!
Take a look at this styled home wedding beautifully done up by Flour, a bespoke events styling studio and dessert provider, run by husband-and-wife duo Larry and Jophia.
In collaboration with @floralsbybenita, they've framed the entrance of the apartment with botanical elements to create a welcoming ambience and understated look. It doubles up as the perfect photo spot for the day's event!
Larry shares with us more tips about styling your very own instagram-worthy affair at home!
With a mustard and grey colour palette, Larry and Jophia transformed this four-room resale HDB home into a garden-inspired, cosy space for the wedding couple and their guests. "Amplify neutral decors with interesting texture. Try to include a variety of materials — including flowers — to create better visual interest," says Larry.
Varying heights and decor elements create more dimension across the space.
An interesting edible display is the double layer cake, which Jophia designed as a "suspended garden of floral and foliage" between the tiers. "Such details help establish focal points in the table setting," the couple shares.
Above, a floral installation is suspended delicately between two existing pendant lamps. Small bunches of blooms, complemented with geometric-shaped twig-like wires and curly willow, create an eye-catching centrepiece.
Add personalised touches including handwritten notes or calligraphy which guests can take home as mementoes.
