Fancy seeing a narrow winding street squeezed between your books along the shelf? Japanese designer Monde turned it into reality with his art project. The intrepid artist was inspired by the sight of narrow alleys in Tokyo, where he resides, and decided to see if he could recreate the scenes in miniature version.
Monde spent two years working on his dioramas. His latest creations also feature tiny street lights that light up, casting a soft glow onto the street below.
The dioramas are getting plenty of attention from book and design lovers around the world, surprising the designer himself. You can reach out to him hroguh his twitter account if you’re interested in getting one, but the last we heard his mailbox is currently too full with enquiries and it might take him a while to get back to you.
