When this homeowner couple in their fifties was planning their dream home, they wanted it to tie in with the location of their apartment, which is by the sea. The team from Michal Han Interior Design proposed a look that incorporated the hues of the sea and sky.
Seen throughout the living room are subtle shades of white, grey and blue.
At the same time, there is an aspect of gentleness and elegance in the design, which reflects the laid-back and goodnatured characters of the homeowners.
The open living room merges with the dining area, which is graced by a large dining table that can seat up to a dozen diners.
The wall connecting the dining and living area features a 3D-lasercut screen design, which helps to conceal the row of storage and utility spaces.
The clean lines in the kitchen make the space look wider and more spacious.
The 3D-lasercut screen creates a layered effect, with its smooth texture adding to the modernity of the home.
The monochrome grey palette adds depth to the whiteness of the interior spaces.
Sleek downlights help to create a sophisticated ambiance in the room.
In the master bathroom, a his and hers vanity counter offers ample space for the couple to get ready together in the mornings.
The accent wall is complemented by a freestanding sink and an artistic wall lamp.
The grey hue is used as a feature in the master bedroom.
The master bedroom is a large space created by combining three former bedroom spaces into one.
Instead of a conventional door, the design team used a swivel panel to separate the master bathroom from the bedroom.
The study is simply planned, with a beautiful view of the scenery outside.
The combination of white and blue creates a soothing look that sets the heart at ease.
