Home to a creative director of an advertising and design business, this high-ceilinged apartment showcases jaw-dropping architectural details, uber-chic furnishings and even a few DIY touches.
“I didn’t want to give these up despite the space constraints,” says the owner of her one-bedroom loft.
Decor Ideas
Space-planning was a priority as the homeowner had many items on her wish list, including a miniature house, ample chill-out and work areas as well as storage for “a lot of books”.
High Ceiling Design

Loft Area Design
Midway up the stairs, a platform that extends from one wall to the staircase was constructed to give the owner her own library, with shelves that stretch across the space.
DIY Lights

Industrial Bedroom Design
The bedroom has a similar mix of materials and industrial vibe as the living area – a plain brick wall features behind the bed, and the bed sits on a platform made from four processed pine pallets.
Pallet Bed Frame
The low bed gives the room more vertical space. The bill for the two-month renovation ran up to $30,000.
