Arguably his most famous chair design, Starck takes inspiration from the Louis XV armchair, and then cheekily subverts the design by rendering it transparent.

2. Axor Starck V mixer
The French designer's idea for a tap is a vortex of water spinning within a clear glass body.

3. Juicy Salif
This spindly juicer was conceived while Starck was squeezing lemon juice over calamari in an Italian pizzeria, which inspired him to sketch his idea of a lemon squeezer on the table mat. He then sent the sketch to Alberto Alessi of Italian homeware brand Alessi and they've been making them ever since!

4. Heritage chair
The Heritage is Starck's reinterpretation of American brand Emeco's classic 1006 Navy chair. Different design but made with the same quality that will last you a lifetime.

6. M Social boutique hotel
Opened in 2016, M Social on Robertson Quay had its interiors curated by the French icon himself. Each of the 293 rooms feature warm colours, opulent materials and high ceilings.
