The kitchen of this 1,227sqf five-room HDB flat in Havelock is a stylish mix of colonial-meets-industrial chic. Exposed red-brick walls walls anchor the space, contrasting with the whitewashed cabinets, subway tiles, and black granite worktops.
Jade green subway tiles and terracotta-look floor tiles, purchased from Hafary, make the open-concept kitchen a cheery space. The cabinet doors were designed with panelling details and handles from Ikea.
"I suggested a strong saturated green shade for the kitchen as it adds a punch of colour; this balances out the neutral hues used throughout the home," says the interior designer of this five-bedroom flat in Ang Mo Kio. The laminates were purchased from Formica.
The homeowners of this five-room HDB home in Pine Close love to bake, and an open kitchen will allow the smell of fresh bakes to fill the house. As the owners were getting a mint Smeg fridge, it was important that the designer chose colours that will match it.
