Open House – Darwin Interior

Hak Tai’s Bow and Brother’s Pool

The first in a two-part exhibition, Hak Tai’s Bow and Brother’s Pool serves as a homage to two of Singapore’s pioneering art principals – Lim Hak Tai and Brother Joseph McNally. Featured installations include six horses, which represent the six principles by Lim Hak Tai in the education of the arts and “Hak Tai’s Bow”, inspired by Lim – NAFA’s founding principle, whose role as the school’s first head marked a major milestone in the Academy’s artistic and cultural history.

A Common Line | One Global Studio

A Common Line | One Global Studio will trace DP architects 50 years of architectural exploration, showcasing its role in shaping Singapore’s urban landscape, from early works such as People’s Park Complex and Golden Mile Complex – which introduced the city to new styles of modernist architecture – to more recent projects like the Esplanade and the Singapore Sports Hub that have become integral fixtures in Singapore through never-before-seen architectural drawings and models. The exhibition will also show the firm’s foray and part in creating foreign cityscapes, from China to the Middle East.

Open House at Citizen Farm

If you’re interested in urban farming and fresh local produce, the open house at Citizen Farm is the place to be. The farm will be opening its doors for a day of free talks and tours and will also play grounds to a farmers market selling fresh produce, mouth-watering goodies by Tiong Bahru Bakery and gardening supplies that will get you kick-started on your very own edible garden. The tours will showcase the various farming systems, from indoor and outdoor hydroponics to Singapore’s one and only mushroom farm, for a look at how Singaporeans are integrating urban farming methods into the city.
