Home to an expat couple and their two dogs, this two-bedroom condominium in Tanjong Rhu showcases the homeowners personality.
They didn't need to do much to the 13-year-old apartment as it was still in good shape, so the transformation was mainly decorative: painting the walls and adding mouldings for visual depth, and wallpaper and mirrors for texture.
Project manager Cheryl Chng from 3Q Interior Design & Concepts helped execute the homeowners' creative ideas.
The living area features individual chairs and armchairs that echo the rich brown wood of the wall mouldings.
The couple's collection of decorative tiles from around the world reveal where they've been. The pieces are mounted on framed mirrors and hung from a picture rail, which makes it easy to change the order of the tiles anytime.
Oriental screens partially enclose the home's storeroom-turned-cosy corner.
The bare bedframe in the master bedroom becomes a regal four-poster bed by hanging sheer drapes along the railings. The curtains also allow one spouse to sleep while the other lounges on the sofa.
