The raw materials and sleek, architectural silhouette of this five-room HDB flat transformed it into a home that lets empty spaces take centre stage. With minimal decor and a pared down colour palette, its interiors by Spacedge Designs bring about a breath of fresh air and boldness that proves that even HDB homes can look this spacious!

The entire common area was streamlined with the help of careful space planning, and wide plywood panels that conceal storage.

A contrasting black laminate was chosen for the cupboard's interior to bring about a more polished, urban appeal to the rough plywood exterior.

Cold and warm accents are well-balanced in this home, as evident from this area, where the dark concrete floors are paired with the kitchen island's wooden base and the pair of textural birch logs.

It was important that the open concept kitchen kept in line with the home's clean-lined design, so handleless black cabinets were customised for it. Put side by side with stainless steel appliances, the entire space now has a charming urban appeal.

Thanks to the ample amount of concealed storage space, the entire home is kept clutter-free, which emphasises its minimalistic design statement.

Even the master bedroom is utterly utalitarian, simply allowing a pop of red to do inject vigour into this space.
